Watkins Strives for Less Harmful Impact On You and Your Environment
As the world population grows we put more polutants into the air damaging the ozone layer that protects us from harmful untraviolet radiation. Our planet is filling up with junk, trash, and garbage.
In an effort to cut down on the rising piles of landfills most cities arrange to have recyclable trash and items picked up for reuse. Our waste management company picks up newspapers, cardboard, magazines, envelopes, phone books, mixed paper, junk mail, paper bags, milk and juice cartons and boxes, paperboard boxes and egg cartons, aluminum cans, containers, and foil, steel and tin cans, glass bottles and jars, and plastic bottles, containers, and jugs with recycling symbol 1-5 and 7 on the bottom.
Many recyclables can be donated to school groups, youth groups, and charities for them to exchange for money. Most supermarkets have bins for customers to recycle plastic bags. Charities pick up used cars, clothing, household items, appliances, and furniture.
I am proud that Watkins uses recyclable plastic, glass, paper, or metal packaging for most products. Shipping materials are cardboard boxes and the packing peanuts are made of corn starch which can be reused or disintegrate in water.
The new Natural Cleaning Products feature non-toxic plant-based formulas that are both biodegradable and phosphate free. These ultra concentrated cleaners are naturally derived so they are easy on the environment, your home and your loved ones. The concentrated formulas use compact packaging that means less waste and less impact on the environment.

Tips for New Home Business Owners
You’ve decided to start a home-based business. If you weren’t born with that inventive gene inspiring you to start a new company with exciting new products that everyone needs, then you most likely will choose an established company. Your first venture as an entrepreneur should invigorate and enlighten you. Let those creative juices flow but don’t try to reinvent the wheel.
1. Do some research before jumping in with both feet. Look at the startup costs, commission structure and compensation plan, company support, and longevity of each company. Are there both online and offline selling opportunities? Does the company allow you to advertise online and offline using the company’s name? Can you create your own web site for search engine optimization?
2. Choose a company with quality products that you can believe in and that you and your family will use. Your enthusiasm and knowledge won't show if you don't enjoy using the products yourself.
3. Start with a basic business plan with specific goals. Write down
your business plan, goals, and the "why" for your business. Your “why” should be very specific and motivating.
4. Budget your time and money. Even though you are working at home treat your business like a business. Schedule your time planning, organizing, and communicating with customers and prospects. Your products won’t sell themselves. If they did the company wouldn’t need you! Once your business is up and running set aside a certain percentage each month to build your business. Never spend money on advertising that you can't afford to lose if your response is low.
5. Get a notebook and keep accurate records of your income and
expenses. A home business gives you tax benefits not available to
other business owners. Always keep a written record or backup disc of your business income, expenses, and customer and prospect files; computer problems can destroy your business information.
6. Develop a record keeping system for customers, prospects, and business associates; one that expands as your business grows. Use software like Quick Books or create your own.
7. Involve your family. They will be more supportive of the time you
spend on your business if they know what you are doing or are
actively involved.
8. Tell everyone you know and don't know about your products and
home business and ask for referrals. Hours of planning and organizing won't do you any good if you don't consistently tell people about your business. Communicate with five or more people a day.
9. Give yourself a fair chance to succeed. Everyone you talk to won’t be interested in your products or business, but your determination and perseverance will pay off. A “no” only means you are one step closer to a “yes.” Consistently work your business for a least a year before making a decision to proceed or look for a new product and home business.
If you want to have a successful home business, treat it as a business and not as a hobby. After choosing a company to represent, develop a written plan with a specific “why” to motivate you. Budget your time and money; don’t spend more money than you can afford. Keep detailed written records. Involve your family for support. Let them share your successes and help you through the rough times. Don’t spend all your time planning and organizing. Promote your business every day. Don’t prejudge. Everyone is a potential customer or associate. Don’t give up when you hit a rough spot. Have fun and enjoy yourself. Remember why you chose this business.

Pain Relief Burn Cream
Pain Relief Burn Cream
I must tell you why every home should have a jar of Watkins Pain Relief Burn Cream. I spilled boiling water on my hand while cooking dinner a few weeks ago. Ouch! To say the least! I immediately put my hand under cool running water. Then I slathered Watkins Burn Cream all over the burned area. After 20 to 30 minutes the burning pain stopped. The burn cream has lidocaine and aloe gel to help relieve the pain and itching from minor burns, sunburn, windburn, insect bites and other minor skin irritations. I kept my hand covered with burn cream all evening. The next day there was only a little redness on my fingers and no pain. No blistering was visible. During the healing process a little of the skin peeled on two of my fingers but otherwise there was no damage to my skin. I truly believe that every home should have a jar in their kitchen or medicine chest.

All Natural Plant Based Cleaners Now Available - Special Offer
The products you choose to clean your home with are all around you. In the air you breathe, on the clothing on your skin, on the walls where you take your shower and bathe your children.
You may only clean one or two days out of the week, but your family comes into contact with those cleaning chemicals each day with every breath they take.
At Watkins, natural cleaners are made from natural renewable resources like coconut oil, palm extracts and natural earth salts. They contain natural essential oils like lavender.
But even more importantly, is what they don’t contain. These natural cleaning formulas are free of phosphates, chlorine, non-renewable petroleum chemicals, ammonia, dyes and many other harmful ingredients.
On top of being naturally derived, the J.R. Watkins Natural Home Care line is also environmentally friendly. The formulas are readily biodegradable and the packaging is 100% recyclable so you leave the smallest possible footprint on the environment.
Do you have cupboards bursting with conventional cleaning products for every room in the house? Now you can replace your entire cabinet of hard surface cleaners with the new J.R. Watkins Natural All-Purpose Cleaners.
Did you know that asthma is now the most common chronic childhood illness affecting nearly five million children each year? Remember, J.R. Watkins Natural Home Care products are made from natural plant-based formulas and are benzene and butyl cellosolve free. Now J.R. Watkins gives you the power to control the number of toxins and chemicals that enter the air in your home!
