Out of Pumpkin Pie Spice?
Making a pumpkin pie, quick bread, or muffins and discover you are out of Pumpkin Pie Spice? Well, don't dismay! If you have some other often used spices in your spice rack you can make your own. Combine the following spices in a jar or other air tight container. Then substitute for Pumpkin Pie Spice in equal amounts in any recipe.
Pumpkin Pie Spice
4 teaspoons Watkins Ground Cinnamon
2 teaspoons Watkins Ground Ginger
1 teaspoon Watkins Ground Cloves
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Ground Nutmeg
Place spices in a jar or air tight container and shake to mix. Store away for heat and light. Makes 7 1/2 teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice.
