Watkins Strives for Less Harmful Impact On You and Your Environment

As the world population grows we put more polutants into the air damaging the ozone layer that protects us from harmful untraviolet radiation. Our planet is filling up with junk, trash, and garbage.

In an effort to cut down on the rising piles of landfills most cities arrange to have recyclable trash and items picked up for reuse. Our waste management company picks up newspapers, cardboard, magazines, envelopes, phone books, mixed paper, junk mail, paper bags, milk and juice cartons and boxes, paperboard boxes and egg cartons, aluminum cans, containers, and foil, steel and tin cans, glass bottles and jars, and plastic bottles, containers, and jugs with recycling symbol 1-5 and 7 on the bottom.

Many recyclables can be donated to school groups, youth groups, and charities for them to exchange for money. Most supermarkets have bins for customers to recycle plastic bags. Charities pick up used cars, clothing, household items, appliances, and furniture.

I am proud that Watkins uses recyclable plastic, glass, paper, or metal packaging for most products. Shipping materials are cardboard boxes and the packing peanuts are made of corn starch which can be reused or disintegrate in water.

The new Natural Cleaning Products feature non-toxic plant-based formulas that are both biodegradable and phosphate free. These ultra concentrated cleaners are naturally derived so they are easy on the environment, your home and your loved ones. The concentrated formulas use compact packaging that means less waste and less impact on the environment.
