Sweetened Whipped Cream, a Dessert's Best Friend

Give your dessert that finishing touch with sweetened homemade whipped cream. Homemade whipped cream made with cream, sugar, and Watkins Pure Vanilla Extract really does taste better than store bought whipped cream or topping!

Sweetened Whipped Cream
1 cup whipping cream, chilled
3 tablespoons granulated sugar

1. Chill a medium-size bowl in freezer or refrigerator for a few minutes. This will help the cream whip into soft peaks faster, especially if the weather is hot.
2. In the chilled bowl, combine cream, vanilla and sugar with an electric mixer. Beat ingredients just until soft peaks form.
3. Scoop a dollop of whipped cream on your favorite dessert. Whipped cream may also be refrigerated in a covered container for several hours before serving.

Tips:
  • Use a hand mixer or a stand electric mixer with a whipping attachment. Chill bowl. Be sure to whip cream just until soft peaks form or it may curdle or turn to butter!
  • For flavored whipped cream use other Watkins Extracts and Flavorings.
Serve Sweetened Whipped Cream on pies, bread puddings, puddings, sundaes, fresh fruit, hot cocoa, strudel, short cakes, cakes, ice cream sodas, and ginger bread.
